Well done to Mrs Stanforth who recently completed a course to become the first member of Redgate staff to become a Thrive licensed practitioner – this knowledge will greatly benefit the pupils at the academy and support their emotional and social growth.
Thrive is a therapeutic approach that supports children with emotional and social development, helping to build positive relationships between children and their peers. It supports with exploration and understanding of feelings through a variety of activities. The approach also supports staff in understanding how to promote positive mental health and respond to differing situations and individuals who may be distressed.
Congratulations again – this will be another important way in how we can enable all pupils to have the best learning experience at Redgate.
