On Wednesday last week we held our first whole academy topic immersion day in the hall. Each class visited the hall in turn to listen to the Jack and the Beanstalk story and engage in a range of activities linked to the story.
There were lots of activities for children to engage with and test their skills including a quiet reading area, a giants castle for role play and comparing your shoe size to the giants, a ‘small world’ tuff spot to retell the story, planting your own beanstalk, building a castle from Lego, making a beanstalk and leaves from craft materials, colouring scenes from the story, and climbing a ‘beanstalk’.
Well done to all of our pupils – a really great day had by all.
