As we come up to half term, I’d like to give a big shout out to all the young people, parents/carers and staff of Redgate Primary Academy and Yeoman Park Academy.
It has been a difficult term with one thing or another. We have had changing guidance from the government, vaccinations, broken boilers, and snow – to name but a few issues. But by working together we have managed to keep things going, so thank you.
We have recently had the fantastic news that Yeoman Park will be redeveloped within the next couple of years. This is one of fifty rebuilds across the country as part of a large government programme of works over the next decade – we are delighted to have been selected as one of the first schools to benefit from this. We have a real chance to make a big difference to the lives of everyone associated with the academies. The detail are being worked through at present, and we will share the plans for the works as soon as we are able to. We are starting to dream of that hydrotherapy pool we’ve always wanted and that’s just for starters – let’s hope it can happen! Part of this process will be establishing what will benefit our pupils and students, so if you have any ideas, including facilities both academies can share, please do get in touch with me.
Remember to talk to us about how we can help during the pandemic. If you are struggling, need help, or just want to talk, we are here for you and your children.
Keep safe and healthy – I hope that you have a good half term break.
